Drive north along dramatic Teesta gorges past Seven Sisters Waterfall and Naga Waterfall to Lachen (8,830 ft). Check into mountain lodge.
Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft) to Lachung
Early 4:00 AM departure to Gurudongmar Lake across the high Tibetan plateau. Soak in the spiritual serenity of the turquoise water. Return to Lachen for lunch and drive to Lachung.
Yumthang Valley of Flowers & Zero Point
Drive into Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft), lined with vibrant rhododendrons and pines. Optional excursion to Zero Point (15,300 ft). Evening hot tea in Lachung.
Lachung to Gangtok Return Drive
Scenic downhill drive stopping at Bhim Nala waterfall before arriving back in Gangtok by late afternoon.
