About the Celebration
The most widely celebrated socio-religious festival of the Adi tribe. Spanning five action-packed days: Sopi-Yekkei (sacrificial day), Binyat (goddess worship), Ekop (arming against pests), and Ponung (communal dances led by the Miri singer).

Celebrates the origin of agricultural crops, invokes the divine blessing of Mother Kine Nane for food security, and reinforces tribal brotherhood.
